Toyota to launch Belta

TOKYO, Mon: Toyota Motor Corp is launching the Belta, a new sub-compact sedan, next month and is also considering exporting it, the carmaker said today.
Belta, which means “beauty” in Italian, is the smallest sedan for Japan’s No. 1 carmaker and comes in two- and four-wheel-drive models, Toyota said.It has set a monthly sales target of 3,000 units.Toyota president Katsuaki Watanabe said it is considering exporting the Belta as global consumers are becoming more conscious of environment-friendly and fuel-efficient cars.

This engine layout is for 1.3L engine.

This one is 1.0L In-line 3 cylinders engine.







Comment:
Not a great car from TOYOTA rather than just another afforable low price car for Japanese market. It was launched by TOYOTA yesterday and called BELTA.
The based is from Vitz, just extended the back and become Sedan looks car. Click here --> Vitz


Anyway, this modify or so-called extended Vitz exterior is much better than the previous model. It's smoother shape and not the kind of ulgy monster as before.
